Pat Flanagan has been named as the new Sligo Senior Football manager.
The former Westmeath boss took the Lake County from Division 3 to Division 1 of the National league, while Flanagan also managed Clara of Offaly and Westmeath club side Tyrellspass, where he enjoyed county success.
Flanagan has been appointed for a one-year term, which will be reviewed at the end of the season and will be meeting the players this week in addition to finalising a back room team, which also forms part of the management of the Under-21 team.
Sligo had a disappointing Championship campaign in 2013 as they were beaten by London in the Connacht quarter-finals before losing to Derry in the first round of the qualifiers.
