Ciaran Bonner and Neil Gallagher have been dropped from the Donegal football panel for a breach of discipline ahead of Saturday’s All-Ireland qualifier against Carlow in Ballybofey.

The Irish Examiner reports that Donegal boss John Joe Doherty confirmed that both players had been dropped but refused to comment any further other than to say it was the result of a breach of discipline.

Both played in the shock Ulster SFC defeat by Antrim, and while midfielder Gallagher was struggling to overcome a hamstring injury in time for Saturday’s qualifier, Bonner was expected to be in the starting XV.

The omission of the pair constitute two of five changes Doherty has made to his starting line-up for the Carlow game. Check out the team news here.
