Paddy Barnes began his professional boxing career with victory, defeating Stefan Slachev at the Titanic Exhibition Centre in Belfast.
The two-time Olympic bronze medallist put in an enthusiastic opening professional bout and secured the facile victory following the disqualification of his Bulgarian opponent.
Slachev had received an early warning in scheduled six-round contest but was eventually disqualified in the fourth round for lifting Barnes off his feet.
"I wasn't expecting the reaction. The fans were unbelievable," said Barnes, speaking to host broadcaster BoxNation after the fight about the atmosphere at the Belfast venue.
"I was trying too hard to impress. He was just running away and it was hard to pin him down. You didn't see the best me."
Meanwhile Jamie Conlan maintained his 100 per cent winning record as a professional by outpointing David Koos over eight rounds.
Conlan will now be eyeing a world title eliminator after moving to 18-0 as a professional, taking the contest 80-72 on the scorecard.
"One or two times I felt his body almost go. It's another box ticked and job done. On to the next one,” said Conlan.
Fellow Belfast fighter Marco McCullough got his career firmly back on track by defeating Luis Lugo to claim the vacant WBO Intercontinental Featherweight title.
McCullough dropped his opponent in the fourth round and Lugo retired on his stool, failing to come out for the fifth round.
There were also wins for Stephen Ormond, Con Sheehan, pro debutant Steven Ward, Tyrone McKenna, Philip Sutcliffe Jr, Declan Gerraghty, Gary Sweeney, James Tennyson and Sean Turner at the Belfast event.
Meanwhile in Dublin, former Ireland amateur champion Eric Donovan recorded another victory in his fledgling professional career, beating Krzysztof Rogowski.
