Benitez must decide whether or not to into the return leg of this last-16 match up with a similar system to the one used in the first leg where the Reds fought back for a 2-1 win, with recent signing Alvaro Arbeloa operating at left-back.
Barcelona coach Frank Rijkaard has recalled playmaker Deco and defender Lilian Thuram.
