Rogers agrees deal with Galway United

Goalkeeper Gary Rogers has today agreed a deal to go professional with Galway United.

The 25-year-old lined out in goal for the Meath senior footballers when they defeated Antrim in Division 2B of the NFL last weekend, however he has now opted to join United.

Rogers joins from Bray Wanderers and is expected to go straight into action when Galway take on Finn Harps in a pre-season friendly.

United manager Tony Cousins said: 'Gary's a top class goalkeeper, has a lot of experience in the eircom League and i'm delighted to add a player of his ability to the team.'
