Cody to continue as Kilkenny boss

Brian Cody has been given the green light to continue as Kilkenny hurling manager for a ninth year.

The James Stephen's man was re-appointed at a county board meeting last night. The same backroom team will also be in place next season.

The Cats claimed their 29th Liam McCarthy crown in September.

In doing so, they prevented fellow giants Cork from completing a historic three-in-a-row.
