Meath’s Graham Geraghty was released from the Mater hospital last night after he was knocked unconscious during the second Test of the International Rules series yesterday.
Geraghty was tackled and taken to ground in the opening quarter of the game by Australian Danyle Pearse, and spent the evening under medical supervision.
The Australian management team denied any allegations of targeting of players, and maintain that it was a good tackle, but the Geraghty injury was just one of many incidents that may well threaten the future of the competition between the two countries.
