Sno honoured by Dutch call-up

Celtic midfielder Evander Sno described his call-up to the provisional Netherlands squad for their friendly with England as 'an honour'.

The 19-year-old, who moved to Scotland in the summer from Feyenoord, has been unable to command a first-team spot with the SPL champions.

He has nevertheless caught the eye of Holland coach Marco van Basten and earned his first national-team call-up ahead of the Amsterdam ArenA clash on November 15.

'I don't want to speak too soon,' said Sno in AD Sportwereld. 'Some players will be sent home, of course, when the selection is brought back to the normal size.

'But it's an honour for me that the national team coach even watches me and that I am in the picture right now.'

Van Basten will trim his provisional 28-man squad down to 20 players on November 10.
