The Candystripes face the Scottish Cup holders at Fir Park in the first leg on Thursday after beating IFK Gothenburg.
Many fans were left disappointed with around 150 left in the queue after the home tickets had been snapped up.
The club is to meet with interested parties to see if it is safe to allow more supporters into the ground.
Talks with the FAI, seating contractors and the city council will be held this week.
