Shels raid on Vikings yields three points

First-half goals from Bobby Ryan and Joseph Ndo helped Shelbourne to a 2-1 victory over Dublin City at Dalymount Park tonight.

Shelbourne had made the early running with a snap shot from Glen Crowe forcing a fantastic save from Gary Rogers after 15 minutes.

Shelbourne added a second just before the interval when Ndo followed up from five yards out after Rogers had only parried Byrne's free into Ndo's path.

City were then handed a lifeline on 66 minutes when a disastrous pass across the box by Sean Dillon allowed Dublin City's David Freeman to convert an easy chance from six yards out.

Dublin City almost snatched a dramatic equaliser when Paul Shiels volleyed just wide from outside the penalty area.
