Longford goalkeeper Shay Kelly may have suffered a serious back injury to overshadow this mid-table 1-1 draw at Flancare Park.

Kelly collided with his skipper Sean Dillon to land awkwardly on his back midway through the first half.

He required eight minutes treatment on the pitch before being taken off on a stretcher and later to Tullamore hospital with a suspected broken vertebrae.

Kieran O’Brien put Bray in front on nine minutes with a sweetly struck volley but Town levelled from Dave Mooney’s penalty in first half stoppage time.

Town right-back Stephen Gough was sent off on 66 minutes for a second booking, with Town missing three sitters as Bray held out for a point.
