Former world champion Mike Tyson is back in the gym as he prepares to return the ring and take on Irish fighter Kevin McBride, according to reports.
Tyson's manager Shelly Finkel told Fightnews.com that Tyson will take on Clones native McBride in a bout on July 31, with Louisville and Kentucky the most likely venues to host the fight.
Tyson has returned to gym training at the Central Boxing Club in Phoenix, Arizona in preparation for the showdown after several weeks of doing road work and conditioning on his own.
Tyson, who turns 38 on June 30, has not fought since knocking out Clifford Etienne in the first 41 seconds of their 10-round bout in February last year.
31-year-old McBride, who now lives in Brockton, Massachusetts, has a career record of 31 wins, 26 knockouts, four defeats and one draw.
