O'Sullivan wins world title at a canter

O'Sullivan claims his second Embassy World Championship

Ronnie O'Sullivan has won the Embassy World Championship for the second time, beating Graeme Dott 18-8 at the Crucible Theatre in Sheffield. O'Sullivan began the final session needing just two more frames to win the best-of-35-frames final and rattled them off in brisk fashion.

Since his inaugural world title three years ago, O'Sullivan has suffered a semi-final defeat to his great rival Stephen Hendry - whom he beat in this year's semis - in 2002, followed by a first-round exit to Marco Fu a year later.

Afterwards O'Sullivan said: "If it had been closer I would have been a bit more emotional. It was a little bit of an anti-climax in the end but Graeme took me all way. At 5-0 down I was thinking `this could be 18-0 to him' so I was pleased I got going and turned it around."
