McKiernan to run Rás na hEireann

Irish runner Catherina McKiernan will take part in this year's Rás na hEireann at the end of the month.

Race director Larry McGuill today confirmed that McKiernan will represent Ireland at the new Dundalk Racecourse on Sunday, February 29.

McKiernan will be challenged by England internationals Cathrine Berry and Chalotte Dale who are among over 400 runners due to take part.

McKiernan made her first and only appearance in the Rás back in 1998 when she won the event.
