Rogers may head for Tolka

Drogheda United goalkeeper Gary Rogers, who has not yet accepted a new contract at United Park, may be on his way to eircom League champions Shelbourne.

Rogers, who had a trial at Stockport County last year, could opt to turn his back on regular first team football with Drogheda in a bid to battle for the number one shirt with Steve Williams at Tolka Park. Shels need another keeper, having let Chris Bennion join Dundalk on Monday.

Rogers joined Drogheda from Shelbourne's youth set up two years ago, although he did not make a first team appearance for Shels.
