Cumann Camógaíochta na nGael unveiled their plans for next year's centenary year this week at the Green Isle Hotel in Dublin.
In attendance was John O'Donoghue TD, Minister for Arts, Sports and Tourism, who complimented the Association on their endeavours. He said: "Camogie has grown to be one of the most popular and widely played female sports in Ireland with 84,000 members".
Also speaking at the function was Uachtarán Cumann Camógaíochta Miriam O'Callaghan. She said: "Reaching a centenary is a significant achievement by any standards but reaching it in such a healthy state and vibrant state is more significant."
Uachtarán CLG Seán Ó Ceallaigh spoke of the GAA's delight to be associated with Cumann Camógaíochta na nGael in their historic year. He said: "This day belongs to camogie. In a colourful and vivid history, you have given much to the women of Ireland."
