Dennis Irwin could be on his way to Middlesborough at the end of the season, in a move that could see the Manchester United star sign a £30,000 a week deal at the Riverside Stadium. According to report’s in today’s Sunday World, Terry Venebles has told Bryan Robson that he wants the former Irish international to help shore the Teesiders questionable defence.
The 35-year-old Corkman completes his third successive one-year contract at Old Trafford this summer, and with the emergence of Mikael Sivestre, the Neville brothers and Wes Brown, places could be limited and a move may be his only option if he is to continue at the top level.
