The Manchester United striker saw a specialist yesterday about the complaint, which has sidelined him for their last two games, and boss Sir Alex Ferguson remains hopeful that he will be fit for this summer's finals in the Low Countries.

United spokesman Ken Ramsden said, ‘Andy has a toe problem. He went to see a specialist yesterday, but we don't know the results yet.’
