Former 'Stars in Their Eyes' host Matthew Kelly is to play a serial killer in a new ITV drama called 'Cold Blood'.
Kelly's character, Brian Wicklow, has spent 15 years in jail, involved in a battle of wits with the authorities; Jemma Redgrave plays a murder squad detective in the drama.
Speaking about the role, Kelly said: "I'm very grateful to Granada for giving me the chance to prove myself in a TV drama after all my theatre work."
Last year the 54-year-old won a Best Actor Olivier Award for his performance in a theatre production of 'Of Mice and Men'.
