The husband of singer Dolores O'Riordan has claimed in the High Court he was unaware that nanny Joy Fahy had any problems in her employment with his family, until she told him she wanted to leave.
Don Burton also denied allegations of constant heavy drinking, reneging on the terms of a contract with her, and endangering the life of his child.
Fahy is suing the couple for breach of contract and false imprisonment.
