Derry City and Longford Town played out a 1-1 draw in tonight's eircom premier league fixture at the Brandywell. Derry took the lead through Beckett after 37 minutes before Savic equalised for the visitors on 58 mins.
Meanwhile in the First Division Cup Waterford United defeated Kilkenny 3-1 at the RSC this evening. Cosgrove and Murphy gave the home a two goal lead but Mulcahy hit back for Kilkenny just before half-time, Vixon restored the two goal advantage on 90 mins however.
