Sales & Services for Use in Academic Research

We may supply research, viewing, listening and copying facilities to postgraduate students and academics for the purposes of private study where resources allow, and subject to charges and the preservation and conservation status of the collections.

The service is provided with due regard to copyright law and in all cases a copyright declaration for the copying of protected material for the purpose of research and private study must be signed.

• Mediated research undertaken by experienced staff
• Research by applicant facilitated in RTÉ Libraries
• Access to RTÉ Media Database is available in the library.

Viewing/Listening and Copying

Selected RTÉ Television and Radio archive material may be viewed/listened to and copied in the library subject to booking, availability and preservation status of materials requested.

Reference quality copies of RTÉ Television and Radio archive material or photographs can be provided for home use.

Ordering Process- Private Use

To order archive material from RTÉ Libraries and Archives, please use the request form to contact RTÉ Library Sales team:

Your request will be confirmed automatically.

You will be contacted by email by a member of the library sales team within 7 days to let you know if the material is available for use under the terms and conditions for your specified use. You will also be supplied with details of the cost of ordering the material.

If you are happy with the terms and conditions and the cost specified, you may follow the link to the online order form and make an advance payment for the archive material.

You will receive the material within a specified period.
