James Nesbitt and Sonia Forbes-Adams are set to divorce after 22 years of marriage.
The Cold Feet star and his wife, who separated in 2013, are finalising their divorce through the High Court in London, The Mirror reports.
According to the publication, the decree absolute has yet to be issued.
A spokesperson for Nesbitt told the MailOnline: "James and Sonia Nesbitt separated over two years ago as previously reported.
"They remain on the best of terms and request that their family's privacy is respected. There are no third parties involved."
Forbes-Adams is said to have moved into a £1.6 million (€1.8m) house in London, with Nesbitt living a mile away in South London.
The couple met when they toured in Hamlet in 1989 and wed five years later. They have two daughters together aged 18 and 13.

James Nesbitt's acclaimed series Cold Feet recently returned for a sixth series
In October 2013 the couple revealed they had parted ways, citing Nesbitt's hectic work schedule as the reason.
Nesbitt has previously spoken about being unfaithful to his wife. Speaking to the MailOnline in 2008 he said: "It was never anything to do with my wife. Any time I did anything like that, there was drink involved.
"I don't think I did anything sober. When you suddenly become successful, the change is enormous, financially and in terms of recognition and the way people treat you. I found that hard to deal with. I just regret the hurt it caused my family."
The Ballymena-born actor is probably best known for his breakthrough role in the TV series Cold Feet which was recently revived for a well-received sixth series.
