Geri Horner is the latest name in the mix to front the Great British Bake Off when the show airs on Channel 4 next year.

The 44-year-old Spice Girl, who appeared on the Sport Relief version of the culinary show in February, is reportedly set to replace presenting duo Mel Giedroyc and Sue Perkins as the new host of Bake Off.

Love Productions, the company behind the hit show, has reportedly said that Geri had good chemistry with Paul Hollywood when she took part in the charity version.

Geri took part in the Great Sport Relief Bake Off in February

“Geri is a bit of a curveball idea, but bosses face a tough ask to get her on board," a source told The Sun. “She’s not done much presenting and has big music commitments."

Also in the possible line-up is pastry chef Cherish Finden who could replace Mary Berry as a judge on the show.

“Cherish has already worked with makers Love Productions and she was great on screen," the source added.

“She’s a world-class expert in pastries and cakes so she knows her stuff and will compliment Paul whose background is more savoury.

“Filling the judge’s role will be extremely hard so they know they have to act fast to make sure they’ve got someone who knows their stuff - and has appeared on TV before.”

Other names being tipped as rumoured presenter replacements include Sue’s partner Anna Richardson, Lisa Faulkner, and Location Location Location duo Kirstie Allsopp and Phil Spencer.
