Don't mess with Rita Ora. The R.I.P. star threatened to "f**k up" a thief who was robbing her home during a frantic 999 call to the police last year.

Back in November the former X Factor judge and her older sister Elena were both asleep upstairs when two men broke into the singer's house in north-west London.

Elena woke up at around 5.50am to find a man rifling through her bedroom before Ora alerted the police.

After realising that she and her sister were in danger, Ora put on a brave face, and screamed at the thieves "Don't you f**king come up these stairs. I will f**k you up - you f**king hear me?" after locking herself in her room with her sister.

The 999 call was played to a jury at Harrow Crown Court in London on Wednesday during an ongoing trial into the burglary.

Charaf Elmoudden and an accomplice allegedly stole jewellery, iPhones, Apple computers, bags and clothes from her house, which had deliberately been chosen because they knew the popstar lived there.

Ora, who gave evidence behind the curtain at the courtroom, broke down in tears after the recording of the phone call was played. "That phone call freaked me out a bit - give me a moment," she said.

During the 999 call, Ora is heard asking the operator "What do you want me to do now? I will kill him."

She said she watched a movie with a girlfriend before going to bed at around 2.30am and then "went to sleep and was woken up by a scream".

"I was half asleep then woke up and heard my sister running up the stairs. I opened the door... she just ran up the stairs then she jumped on my bed and started screaming."

Elena also gave evidence behind a curtain, describing the scary incident to the jury, telling them that "At one point he was an arm's length away which was really scary because it means he was looking at me directly while I was asleep.

Prosecutor Mark Kinsey says the house was targeted by the thieves as "that address was known to contain a large amount of valuable items.

"The property belonged to the recording artist and actress Rita Ora - her and her sister and another lady were present at the time. They knew whose address that was and it was targeted."

Elmoudden appeared in the dock today, and has denied the charge of burglary. The trial continues.
