The Irish wrap party for the new Star Wars film was held in Dingle on Wednesday night.
Actors Mark Hamill and Daisy Ridley were among those who took a break from the Dark Side to enjoy a few pints of the Dark Stuff as the crew gathered at Foxy John's, one of Dingle’s best-loved traditional pubs.
Those attending the private function witnessed Ridley, who plays the role of Rey in Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens, go behind the counter to pull a few pints for her colleagues.
Mark Hamill, who plays Luke Skywalker, also dropped in to celebrate the end of the three-week shoot in Ireland. The 64-year-old was driven to the pub on Main Street in a blacked-windowed SUV.
The Star Wars team had commissioned exclusive use of the quaint pub, renowned for its traditional pub/hardware shop combination. There was a strong security presence on the door, admitting only those with accreditation.
Over 300 people, including cast, crew and support staff had been working on the extensive shoot in West Kerry, and a number of locals involved in the construction of the set on Ceann Sibéal were also invited.
It’s understood that the substantial set on Ceann Sibéal, a replica of the 6th century monastery of Sceilg Mhichíl will be dismantled and removed from the cliff-top location over the next two weeks.
