Legendary entertainer Bob Hope has died aged 100, a family spokesman confirmed today.
Hope died of pneumonia on Sunday night with his family at his side, according to spokesman Ward Grant.
Hope, who was born in England, was one of the best known and most beloved US entertainers. He celebrated his 100th birthday in May.
His career, which included stints as an amateur boxer and dancer, spanned seven decades, in which he starred in vaudeville, radio, stage, movies and television.
He is listed in the Guinness Book of Records as the most honoured entertainer in history.
