The visit of the Prince and Princess of Monaco to Ireland in June 1961 was covered by a film crew from the new television station. Although not yet broadcasting crews from Telefís Éireann covered a number of events in the lead up to the launch of television. Some of these events including the state visit were shown on the opening night of television as part of a programme called 'Ireland 1961'. Note: The clip shown here is mute.
