Football fans attending the clash between Florida Gators and the the LSU Tigers over the weekend, gathered together to pay tribute to rockstar Tom Petty, who passed away earlier this week.
Footage has emerged of the crowd singing one of Petty's hit songs, 'Won't Back Down' before the start of the fourth quarter in honour of their local hero, who was born in Gainesville, Florida.
Gators went on to narrowly lose the tie 16-17 in the Ben Hill Griffin Stadium, which is also situated in Gainesville.
