Draw made for Davis Cup

Britain have been handed a tough draw in the Davis Cup after they were drawn against third seeds Australia in the first round of the tournament. Top seeds France, who won the 2001 title by beating Australia in Melbourne and who contest next month's 2002 final against Russia in Paris, have been drawn away to Romania while 2002 finalists Russia must travel to the Czech Republic.

In the other first round matches, the United States have been drawn away to Croatia while Argentina host Germany, Spain entertain Belgium, Sweden host Brazil and Switzerland travel to Holland.
