France beat America to reach Davis Cup final

France have reached the final of the Davis Cup for the third time in four years after Sebastien Grosjean beat American Andy Roddick 6-4 3-6 6-3 6-4 in their semi-final clash in Paris. It was a battle between the number one players but the Frenchman again revealed the American's lack of claycourt know-how and won in four sets.

The Frenchman and world number nine, received lengthy treatment midway through the second set after going over on his right ankle. But he had is foot strapped and wore a support for the rest of the match. France will play either Russia, leading the other semi-final 2-1, or Argentina in the final.
