Stephen Bradley targets 'unfinished business' as he stays put at Shamrock Rovers

Stephen Bradley says it "feels right to stay" at Shamrock Rovers after turning down the possibility of taking charge at Lincoln City.

The Hoops boss, who has led the club to two SSE Airtricity League titles and an FAI Cup, had opened talks with League One Lincoln this week before opting to stay put with the reigning Premier Division champions.

Bradley told RTÉ Sport that he had "unfinished business" at Shamrock Rovers where he has been in charge since 2016 and previously represented as a player from 2009 to 2010.

"Obviously Lincoln are a very good club with really good people behind it and they have really big plans, but when it came down to it, I feel that I love this club and we have unfinished business and it feels right to stay," he said.

Bradley admitted he had "made no secret" about ambitions to test himself further afield in the future.

"I will look to challenge myself at some point again at a different level, different stage and different country. That's only natural but like I said, right now we've got a really, really strong group of players, we've built up to this point and we're not finished in what we're doing," he added.

"We had a good meeting with the staff, the players and the board and we just have to sit down and think about where we're going and what we're doing and it was plain to see we have unfinished business."
