Celtic's Izzy Atkinson, Aoibheann Clancy of Wexford Youths and Liverpool striker Leanne Kiernan have all been drafted into the Republic of Ireland Women's National Team squad for the upcoming friendly against Australia.

Atkinson moved to the Hoops last February from Shelbourne and has enjoyed a good start to the new season.

Former West Ham attacker Kiernan has also benefited from a change of scenery, starting all three of Liverpool's league games since moving to Merseyside in the summer. The Reds are currently eighth in the second-tier Women's Championship.

Wexford Youths midfielder Clancy graduates from the Ireland Under-19s set-up following several excellent displays in the SSE Airtricity Women's National League.

The trio come into Vera Pauw's panel after Éabha O'Mahony, Megan Connolly and Roma McLaughlin were ruled out for the clash against Australia at Tallaght Stadium on Tuesday, 21 September.

Pauw's players begin their training camp in Abbotstown today. Shels goalkeeper Amanda Budden will also train with the squad.
