There was a pitch inspection at Stade de Geneve following heavy rain ahead of the Republic of Ireland's Euro 2020 qualifier against Switzerland, but the game has got the go ahead.

The Swiss city had been hit by bad weather throughout the day and a poor playing surface was evident early this morning.

But some surface water has gathered and the officials checked the condition of the pitch at 6pm.

The pitch was deemed playable by referee Szymon Marciniak, so kick-off is at 7.45pm Irish time, live on RTÉ2, 2FM and online.
