Billy Dennehy is relishing the chance to be part of another European glory night for Irish football as the winger targets an Inchicore dismantling of Dinamo Minsk tonight (7.45pm).

Dennehy was part of the Shamrock Rovers side that went all the way to the Europa League group stages in 2011, locking horns with Tottenham Hotspur, Rubin Kazan and PAOK in a breakthrough achievement for an Airtricity League club.

Rovers' odyssey gave Dennehy an appetite for the big stage, but the Tralee man knows how tough it will be for the Saints to emulate the achievements of Michael O'Neill's men.

"We're all really looking forward to the game," he told stpatsfc.com as Liam Buckley's men look to finish the job after a 1-1 draw in Minsk last week.

"We know it's going to be another tough game as they may have underestimated us last week.

"But look, we all did our jobs in the first leg, it wasn't down to any individuals, it was a real team performance that earned us the result. If we can do that again, fingers crossed we can get over the line."

Buckley has urged his players to grab the chance to turn heads around Europe, and warned they'll have to stay patient and disciplined against the visitors.

He has a full squad to choose from for the second qualifying round clash, with midfielder Jack Bayly and goalkeeper Conor O'Malley pushing for a start.

Dennehy is hoping the vociferous home support can make all the difference on what could be a tense, nervy night.

"Any time you have a big home support behind the team, it always helps," said the 29-year-old.

"When you hear the crowd behind you, it helps spur you on a little. If there's a difficult period in the game, that's when the vocal support of our fans can really make the difference so it's great to hear that there will be a big crowd at the game."
