Ahead of the 2006 season, Athlone Town boss Michael O'Connor has made two further additions to his squad as the midlands club bid to make an impression in the eircom League First Division.
In comes goalkeeper Robert Forde, whilst former captain Tom Silke has agreed a new deal that will see him spend a third straight year at his home-town club, during this his second stint at the Club.
A 'keeper with a wealth of experience, Forde has played Premier Division football with Shamrock Rovers and Galway United, and also helped Monaghan United and Kilkenny City to promotion during his career.
Silke also has plenty of Premier Division experience under his belts, having spent four seasons in the top flight with Galway United and Longford Town, before re-signing for Athlone in 2004.
