Ex Galway United and Shamrock Rovers goalkeeper Robert Forde has joined eircom League First Division side Athlone Town.
He will compete for the goalkeeper’s gloves with Danny O’Leary, who agreed terms for next season earlier in the week.
Forde has also played eircom League soccer with Kilkenny City and Monaghan United.
O’Connor also secured the services of Colin Fortune this week as he starts building a team capable of sustaining a promotion push next year.
