79 mins Drogheda right back Lynch is booked for a foul on Gamble.

76 mins O'Halloran plays the ball forward to O'Flynn, who shields the ball before getting his shot in. However, his effort goes narrowly wide.

72 mins Devine comes to City's rescue when O'Brien finds himself through with just the 'keeper to beat, but the 32-year-old stood his ground and gathered the ball superbly at O'Brien's feet.

71 mins Drogheda's Paul Keegan comes on for the injured Bradley.

70 mins Kearney's cross from the right is headed clear but O'Callaghan pulls his shot over from the edge of the box.

61 mins Webb is released down the left but his cross is easily gathered by Devine.

52 mins 0-1 GOAL Shane Robinson crossed from the right and Gavin Whelan reacted first to a knockdown from O'Brien to hammer the ball past Devine from six yards to give Drogheda the lead.

Second half gets underway with Cork City attacking the North Terrace.

46 mins City were let off the hook on the stroke of half time when Robinson was set free down the right, but his dangerous cross narrowly eluded the in-rushing Sandvliet and went harmlessly behind. Referee Stokes the blew for half time.

44 mins Bennet concedes another corner under pressure from O'Brien and Sandvliet.

43 mins An excellent build-up on the left involving O'Flynn, Fenn and O'Callaghan saw the latter pull his shot wide of Connor's right hand post from the edge of the box.

38 mins Good composure under pressure from Greg O'Halloran on the left saw him find O'Flynn 30 yards out, but his tame effort failed to trouble Connor.

33 mins O'Callaghan tries his luck from distance but his effort drifts well wide of Dan Connor's goal.

29 mins Cork captain Dan Murray is the second player to go into referee Ian Stokes' book after an over-zealous challenge on Shane Robinson.

The FAI Carlsberg Cup final takes centre stage today at Lansdowne Road, where over 25,000 supporters will watch Drogheda United play newly crowned eircom League Premier Division champions Cork City.

Cork City manager Damien Richardson is without left back Danny Murphy and winger Roy O'Donovan as both are suspended after picking up bookings in a recent league game against Waterford United.

Murphy is likely to be replaced by either Greg O'Halloran or Billy Woods, while the experienced Colin O'Brien is almost certain to come into the side on the right of midfield in place of Irish Under-21 player O'Donovan.

United boss Paul Doolin has a full squad to choose from, with no injury or suspension worries as he bids to lead the club to their first FAI Cup final win. Drogheda finished fourth in the league this season, 26 points adrift of today's opponents Cork.

Kick-off at Lansdowne Road is at 3.15pm with live coverage on RTÉ TWO television and RTÉ Radio One.
