Kuhn looks to upset big-guns

Switzerland coach Jakob Kuhn still believes his side can cause an upset at Euro 2004, despite watching them struggle to overcome Liechtenstein. Daniel Gygax's injury-time strike gave Switzerland the narrowest of victories against their lowly neighbours to ensure they head for Portugal on a winning note.

The boot will be on the other foot at the tournament with Switzerland unfancied against holders France, England and Croatia, but Kuhn feels the tag of underdogs can work to their advantage.

"We were saving goals for the European Championship," he said after the Liechtenstein episode. "Liechtenstein proved against us what is possible for a small side. At the European Championships, we're the small side."
