Inter Milan confirm interest in Giggs

Inter Milan have confirmed they are interested in signing Manchester United winger Ryan Giggs in the summer. The president of the Italian giants, Massimo Moratti revealed in a newspaper interview that his club will attempt to lure away the Welsh international from Old Trafford.

"Every year there's talk of us getting Giggs and although I think Manchester United are still keen on him, I believe an offer will be considered," Moratti told the Sunday Mirror. "The fact is, we like him and we will be making an offer in the summer. He is the type of player the fans will love here. We are confident that if a deal can be done, we will do it."

The Italian press have repeatedly linked Giggs with a move to the San Siro in the past few months and speculation increased when Giggs became a target for United supporters' criticism recently.

However, with Giggs' price tag believed to be in the region of £20m, it remains to be seen if Inter will be able to match the asking price and if United will be willing to sell.
