Cameroon retained the African Nations Cup on Sunday, winning on penalties for the second successive time after the final against Senegal ended goal-less after extra time. Goalkeeper Boukar Alioum saved two penalties to give Cameroon a 3-2 win in the shootout and ensure they became the first country in 27 years to retain the trophy.
Cameroon, who did not concede a goal in all their six matches in the tournament, dominated on Sunday against a Senegal team making their first appearance in the final.
