Cameroon maintain 100% record

Cameroon, one of Ireland's opponents in the upcoming World Cup finals in Japan and Korea, have beaten Togo 3-0 in their latest Group match in the African Nations Cup in Mali. Second half goals from Lucien, Samuel Eto'o and Salomon Olembe maintained the reigning champions' 100% record in front of 6,000 fans to keep them top of Group C with three wins out of three.

Meanwhile, Iran have named Branko Ivankovic as their new coach after the popular Miroslav Blazevic resigned earlier this month following their 2-1 aggregate World Cup play-off defeat to Ireland. Blazevic, 66, cited health reasons and disappointment at not qualifying for this year's World Cup finals, which he described as "unbearable", as the reasons for his resignation.

Iran lost to Ireland in the World Cup playoffs in November, but still offered Blazevic a $4 million contract to stay for another four years, but his place will now be taken by his assistant, Ivankovic.
