Five Irish players are in the hunt for the remaining 16 qualifying places for next week's World Championships in Sheffield.
Michael Judge goes into this evening's deciding session tied at 4-4 with Xiao Guodong, although the Shankill man did take the opening four frames of today's earlier session.
Gerard Greene has a slight advantage over Martin Gould at 5-4. Those matches are first to 10 frames, and will be played to a finish tonight.
Elsewhere, Antrim-man Jordan Brown is on the brink of defeat. He lost Sunday's session 9-0 to Lyu Haotian, and the Chinese player needs just one frame tomorrow to advance.
Lucan's Fergal O'Brien is also up against it, and he'll need a big performance on Monday to turn around a 6-3 deficit against Mark Davis.
Ken Doherty starts his second round qualifier tomorrow morning against Scott Donaldson, with the final session to take place in the evening.
There will be a third, and final, round of qualifiers to go for the winners of those ties later in the week.
