Ireland women’s coach Philip Doyle says his side won’t be intimidated by playing in Twickenham.
The Grand Slam champions are top of the table after two wins out of two, against Scotland and Wales, but face a much stiffer challenge when they travel to London to face England, a match which will be shown live on RTÉ Two.
The game will take place in the famous stadium just after the men’s game on 22 February and despite the girls being more used to the confines of Ashbourne’s Milltown House, Doyle insists the venue is irrelevant.
He told RTÉ Sport: “It’s just Twickenham, it’s just a stadium. We’re not going to build ourselves up for it because we know the challenge ahead. England are an incredibly good side.”
