The weather here yesterday was shocking. You have the sunshine at home.
But it's incredible. You can't go anywhere on the waterfront in Cape Town without bumping into a familiar Munster face or without hearing 'The Fields of Athenry' blasting out of some establishment.
They're expecting it'll be in excess of 2,000 and anything up to 3,000 Munster supporters. The South Africans are blown away by this.
It's Munster’s sixth away game in a row. They have had some incredible victories on the road: against Glasgow, against Leinster in the semi-final, against the Stormers here a couple of weeks ago.
For that Glasgow defeat they lost RG Snyman, Conor Murray, Calvin Nash and Malakai Fekitoa to head injuries. All four are available.
There’s a big debate as to whether Snyman will start or go on the bench. If he starts, it would mean Tadhg Beirne would go into the back row and Peter O’Mahony would have to play 7.
But that would result in John Hodnett being left out of the team and he has been outstanding. So Snyman might find himself on the bench.
The other big selection question is whether Keith Earls starts in what could be his last ever appearance for Munster. Given that Calvin Nash is back and Shane Daly, on the wings they have been two of Munster’s best outstanding players.
It's a brilliant position for Graham Rowntree to be in, to have all his frontline players available for a final, that only two months ago, nobody really expected Munster to be in.
All the odds are in The Stormers’ favour. It’s a massive journey down here. The Stormers thought that they were going to be playing Leinster in a final in Dublin so they were thrilled when that Munster result came through. A lot of Munster people took umbrage to that
I give Munster a great chance. I think they’re on a roll at the moment. They’re incredibly tight.
The Stormers, Connacht were only six points behind with five minutes to go in the semi-final.
I give Munster a great chance of causing a huge upset but it would be an upset given that The Stormers don’t lose in Cape Town too often.
