Ireland hooker Neve Jones has joined Gloucester-Hartpury in England's Premier 15s from Malone RFC.
The 23-year-old, who won the last of her six Ireland caps in the win over Japan last November, will go straight into their squad for tomorrow’s game against Bristol.
"We are very pleased to sign Neve Jones," said head coach Sean Lynn.
"Her work rate around the park is outstanding and I’ve been very impressed with her willingness to learn. She is a great addition to our squad."
Fellow Ireland international Anna Caplice joined the club last year.
The Ulster forward was Malone's top try-scorer in 2019 and the winner of the Energia Women's All Ireland League Rising Star Award the following year.
Jones was one of the signatories of the recent letter sent to the Irish Government by a number of past and current players outlining their frustration at how the women's game in the country was being run.
Ireland, under new head coach Greg McWilliams, begin their Six Nations campaign against Wales in the RDS on 26 March.
