James Lowe has made his return to training with Leinster.

The New Zealand-born Ireland wing will require further assessment as he steps up his recovery from a groin injury.

Lowe sustained the injury during Ireland's Autumn Nations Cup campaign in November, having made two provincial appearances this season prior to his first pair of international caps.

Out-half Ciaran Frawley has also returned to training following a hamstring injury, with the 23-year-old requiring further assessment, while Scott Penny has passed the Graduated Return to Play Protocols from the defeat to Connacht.

The returning Rhys Ruddock, Jordan Larmour and Josh Murphy will train as normal this week having come through without any issues during Friday's Guinness Pro14 win over Ulster.

However, hooker Sean Cronin will be assessed after suffering a knee injury against Ulster.

Garry Ringrose (jaw), Conor O'Brien (knee), Tommy O’Brien (ankle), Tadhg Furlong (calf), Max Deegan (knee), Vakh Abdaladze (back) and Adam Byrne (hamstring) remain unavailable for selection.
