Tadhg Furlong and Dan Leavy will be reviewed further this week as both players bid to return in time for Leinster's Heineken Champions Cup clash against Saracens on Saturday.

Ireland prop Furlong has yet to make an appearance since the season resumed in August as he recovers from a back injury, while fellow international back row Leavy has been a long-term absentee since suffering a serious knee injury in March 2019.

Fergus McFadden, who will retire at the end of the season, returns to training this week however after recovering from a calf injury, while James Ryan came through unscathed from his return to action in Saturday's Guinness Pro14 final win over Ulster.

The province also confirmed prop Ciaran Parker has started training with the team after his Covid-19 quarantine period following his loan move from Jersey Reds two weeks ago.

Dan Sheehan will be absent for four to six weeks after a procedure on a cheekbone injury sustained in training, while Vakh Abdaladze (back), Dave Kearney (hamstring), Conor O'Brien (hamstring) and Adam Byrne (hamstring) all remain sidelined.
