Adam Griggs will hand an international debut to Leinster No 8 Juliet Short in the white heat of Twickenham as Ireland prepare to take on England in their final Autumn International Test on Saturday.

Griggs's charges were beaten 19-10 by world No 4-ranked USA at Energia Park on Sunday and can expect an even tougher challenge across the water. They play directly after the men's clash with Australia.

England are ranked second in the world and thumped the Americans 57-5 a fortnight ago.

There's six Irish changes in all, with five of those coming in the forwards.

There are two changes to the front-row, with Emma Hooban, who won her first cap on Sunday, starting at hooker and Leah Lyons in at tight-head prop. Loose-head Lindsay Peat will win her 24th cap since making her debut against England three years ago.

Nichola Fryday replaces the unfortunate Ciara Cooney, who picked up a shoulder injury on Sunday and will be out for the resat of the year. She packs down alongside Aoife McDermott in the second-row.

There are two changes are in the back-row, where Jeamie Deacon and the uncapped Short - who has represented England at Under-20 level - come into the side alongside Claire Molloy.

Nicole Cronin meanwhile starts at scrum-half alongside No 10 Nikki Caughey.

Michelle Claffey will again partner Sene Naoupu in the centre. Naoupu will captain the side in the absence of Ciara Griffin, who is ruled out with a shoulder problem.

Last weekend’s try scorers, Laura Sheehan and Eimear Considine take their place on the wings, with Lauren Delany at full-back.

Sixteen-year-old Beibhinn Parsons, who made her debut off the bench last week, is again among the replacements.
