Ireland internationals Dan Leavy and Seán O'Brien are edging closer to a Leinster return, according to an injury report from the Dublin-based club.
Leinster report that Leavy will return to the full rugby training programme this week and will be available for selection ahead of their Guinness Pro14 clash with Edinburgh on Saturday at the RDS.
Meanwhile, O'Brien is still unavailable for selection but will be integrated back into rugby this week as will Ciarán Frawley, who sustained an arm injury in August.
O'Brien has struggled with injury since last season and is continuing his recovery from a shoulder problem.
It was a frustrating campaign for the versatile forward who previously suffered from a hip concern which kept him out of the action in January before suffering the shoulder injury during his comeback game in February.
The Carlow native got a 40-minute run out against Treviso in April, but his season was effectively over, and surgery soon followed.
Speaking to RTÉ Sport last month, O'Brien said he was hoping to 'be back on the field in the next week or two'.
Meanwhile, Will Connors, Barry Daly, Nick McCarthy, Jack McGrath and Tom Daly are also unavailable for Leinster as they look to build on their victory over the Dragons last weekend.
Leinster are currently in second place in Conference B of the Pro14 and trail Ulster by just one point.
